St John Ambulance

St John Ambulance

The Redhill, Horley and Caterham units of St. John Ambulance have now amalgamated into one unit based in Redhill and are now named the East Surrey Network.  They will still provide cover for events in the area as before, but their first aid roles will be expanding to offer community training and talks as well.

They are looking for some help to buy more equipment to assist them in providing this support for East Surrey. The best way of supplying this equipment is by buying it through the St John supplies as this is the gold standard level of resources they use.

If any organisation or company would be willing to fundraise or support them with equipment, they would be very pleased to hear from you.  In return they can offer any group which would be interested, a short 2-hour first aid course which covers all the basics including opportunity to practice CPR and how to use a defibrillator. This course is free, and participants will receive a certificate which lasts three years.

Bookings should be discussed with Paula Richardson the District training Officer for Surrey who is based in Redhill: paula.richardson@sja.org.uk
