In 2022, the Surrey’s Health and Well-being Strategy was refreshed to include a focus on certain areas on the country who experience the poorest health outcomes in Surrey. The areas are based on the overall deprivation score which was established in the English deprivation indices 2019.

The “Key Neighbourhoods” that are prioritised are the wards which include the most deprived areas within the county. The “Key Neighbourhoods” in Reigate and Banstead are:

• Hooley, Merstham and Netherne
• Horley Central and South
• Redhill West and Wray Common
• Tattenham Corner and Preston

Surrey County Council have produced infographic pages which gives more information about the “Key Neighbourhoods”. The infographics include statistics on the populations age, religion, ethnicity, gender, disability, unemployment and many more.
