Historic England Regional Capacity Building Grants

Historic England Regional Capacity Building Grants

The Historic England Regional Capacity Building Grants aim to support projects that enhance understanding, management, and conservation of the historic environment. The funding can be used for strategic research and projects that build sector capacity, engage diverse communities, and address priorities in Historic England’s Corporate Plan.

Eligible applicants include local authorities, universities, charitable trusts, and self-employed individuals. Applications can be submitted through an Open Proposals Programme, Calls for Proposals, or Tender Opportunities, with a two-stage application process. Successful projects must demonstrate public value and align with Historic England’s research agenda.
