Voluntary, community and faith organisations are invited to a Network event to discuss partnership opportunities with Reigate & Banstead Borough Council. The event will run from 10am to 12 noon on 24 January 2019 at the Horley Baptist Church.
Reigate & Banstead Borough Council shares the same aims as many VCFS organisations. It acts as a key partner in a range of ways: providing core funding and resources; referring clients; building connections across public sector organisations and providing information and analysis.
The aim of this event is to look at the future of partnership working between the voluntary sector and the Borough Council and identify areas where there is potential for greater co-operation.
Speakers will include:
Councillor Rod Ashford, Portfolio Holder for Leisure and Wellbeing (with responsibility for voluntary and community sector support.) Cllr Ashford will speak about the priorities of RBBC and how future changes could impact on the voluntary sector.
Justine Chatfield, Head of Community Partnerships at RBBC – will discuss how the Council is reviewing its approach to supporting the Voluntary Sector and seek the views of local organisations about different models of partnership working.
This is your opportunity to help shape the future relationship between Reigate & Banstead Borough Council and the voluntary sector. There will also be the chance to network and update other attendees about your organisation and activities.
To register, please email VARB or call on 01737 763156. Please give your organisation’s name and the name(s) of people who will be attending.
