Are you looking for new volunteers? Do you need to build capacity in your Board of Trustees? Do you have skill gaps in your organisation?
VARB invites Voluntary, Community and Faith organisations to attend a free Network Event looking at “New Approaches to Volunteering”. The event will take place on 11 September 11.30am to 1.30pm at the Old Reigations Rugby Club.
- Learn about a local project run by Skylark Charity Support Network to harness the skills of corporate volunteers
- Hear from David Munroe, Police and Crime Commissioner for Surrey, on why he is funding volunteering for ex-offenders
- VARB will share ideas on how to recruit Trustees, with a case study from Citizens Advice Reigate & Banstead
- There will be a Marketplace session – an opportunity to showcase your organisation’s activities and network with other organisations over light refreshments
The event will also incorporate the AGM business of VARB where Trustees will be elected and copies of our Annual Report will be available. (Voluntary organisations from Reigate & Banstead are welcome to nominate a Trustee to sit on the VARB board – please get in touch for details).
Coffee and cake will be served, in aid of MacMillan Cancer Support.
