Biffa Award

Main Grants of £10,000 to £75,000 are available to support the Funder’s vision to ensure that everybody has access to high quality local community facilities. Not-for-profit organisations within 5 miles of a significant Biffa operation or within 10 miles of an active Biffa Landfill site can apply for a grant from Biffa Group. Only groups with a total project cost of less than £200,000 can be funded, and there must be a minimum of 104 days of full public access to the project per year. The programme is currently divided between three themes, each of which has its own application forms and application windows:

 Community Buildings
 Rebuilding Biodiversity
 Recreation

There are different deadlines for each of the themes, as follows:

June 2018 Board Meeting – Community Buildings and Recreation projects

  • Stage one deadline: Midday 28th February 2018
  • Stage two deadline: Midday 28th March 2018

November 2018 Board Meeting – Community Buildings and Rebuilding Biodiversity projects

  • Stage one deadline: Midday 15th July 2018
  • Stage two deadline: Midday 15th August 2018
