Brooklands is a primary age (2-11 years) special school for pupils with severe learning difficulties, based in Reigate. The children at Brooklands have a range of needs including severe learning difficulties, Autistic Spectrum Disorders and physical disabilities.
Volunteers could spend time in class working or playing with individual children, interact with children at playtime in the playground or go on educational visits outside school. They especially need volunteers who would be willing to help with swimming in the school pool. They find that volunteers at Brooklands derive great satisfaction from the knowledge that they are able to help the pupils achieve, enjoy and flourish.
