The Youth Social Action Fund is offering grants of up to £5,000 to groups working with young people between the ages of 10 and 20 years old (or 25 for young people with disabilities) in Surrey. It covers targeted programmes of activities to encourage and inspire young people in the county to become more actively engaged with their community. Activities could include volunteering, campaigning or fundraising. Projects do not need to be led by a youth group but must include young people in the delivery.
The Community Foundation for Surrey are distributing the fund on behalf of Big Lottery and the Office for Civil Society. In the current round, the Surrey Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner (‘PCC’) will be matching funds to enable more grants to be delivered.
The deadline for applications is 7th July for projects to start in September 2017. For further details see the Community Foundation website.
