Volunteer Manager – Abbeyfield, Reigate

Abbeyfield in Reigate offer affordable high quality living for people who want to be independent and self-reliant as possible without the worry of maintaining their own home. Every effort is made to meet individual needs and they are a non-profit making organisation.  They are looking for a Volunteer Manager the role will involve:
•Conducting exit discussions with people leaving their voluntary role. Where you feel it is appropriate, give them a   gift to say thank you (for Duke of Edinburgh volunteers a certificate). Make sure ex-volunteer details are put on the  friends database.
•Encourage volunteers to take part in Abbeyfield social media, and other communication channels.
•Organise twice per annum thank you’s/get to know you socials for volunteers.
•Recruit new volunteers as gaps emerge – either trustees or other roles.
•Develop job descriptions for each new role as required.
•Organise and lead volunteer induction sessions with House Manager.
•Work with the volunteer administration manager to keep records up to date.
•Teaming up with the volunteer administration manager as appropriate, represent Abbeyfield Reigate at volunteer events locally.
•Check in regularly with volunteers regularly to ensure they are happy with how things are going.
•Communicate monthly with all volunteers updating them on activity and changes in the house.
•Provide a short monthly update to the trustee board on any issues/successes which the trustees should be aware of.
