Domestic Abuse Support Adult Service – East Surrey Domestic Abuse Services (ESDAS)

East Surrey Domestic Abuse Services (ESDAS) is an independent charity providing outreach and associated services in the borough of Reigate & Banstead and the districts of Mole Valley and Tandridge. They are currently recruiting Female Volunteers (subject to Section 7(2)(e) of the Sex Discrimination Act (Women only) aged 18 and over, to assist their staff team, to work with adult survivors – 1:1 befriending/recovery support; providing emotional/practical support at ad-hoc appointments such as court hearings, housing appointments etc. service user feedback (by telephone). Their next 2 day mandatory induction training programme is TBC. References & DBS disclosure will be required. Enquiries from those with personal experience of domestic abuse welcomed but not essential and would be subject to an adequate recovery period. Availability during office hours essential for those wanting to support adult survivors and the use of a car is highly desirable.
