Conservation Volunteers – Friends of Merstham Parks and Gardens

Their aim is to improve the greenspaces and woods of Merstham, for people and wildlife. They plant trees (mainly fruit) and hedges, create wildflower areas, cut down overly dense woods to encourage woodland flowers, create habitat woodpiles, put up bird and bee boxes etc. They supply free tea and cake, plus tools and basic training on the day. The group meets the first Saturday of each month.  You will need to wear sturdy footwear and waterproofs if wet. The location varies, but is always in the vicinity of Merstham.
