Thanks to funding from The Big Lottery, VARB is working with 80 local organisations to build partnerships. We are matching up “surplus” resources with where there are resource needs.
For example, an organisation may have a minibus that is only used during the week – it could be hired by a local sports club at weekends. There may be room for a spare desk in an office which could be perfect for a new organisation starting up. VARB is focussing on three areas: premises, transport and skills.
We are currently part way through interviewing the local organisations. In June we will be producing the individual reports giving details of potential matches and we will hold our Resources Match Making Event.
